The rules that apply in Michigan

Michigan is unusual: its Mobile Home Commission Act covers park licensing, unfair practices, and utility metering, but says nothing at all about rent. There's no cap and no manufactured-housing notice period — an increase runs on Michigan's general month-to-month tenancy rule (MCL 554.134), which turns on one rental period's notice. Your written lease is what actually governs, so read it. (MCL 554.139, often cited here, is the warranty of habitability and has nothing to do with rent notice.)
